Our butterflies have emerged!

Little Biologists of Pioneer West

Angel our guest biologist visited us with his displays of a wide variety of insects!! The children learned that an ant can carry 50 times its weight and the female mosquito bites you to get protein. He is going to check back with us to find out how our butterflies are doing.

We had a great time visiting the fire station. We saw where the firemen slept and ate, learned about the ambulance and even got to spray the hose!

The Adventure class welcomed our new caterpillars. We will be watching how they change into Painted Lady Butterflies!
